County Environmental Health Tip
Hire a food facility designer or consultant who has submitted plans to Stanislaus County DER before. Every time plans are rejected and resubmitted, the 20-day review clock resets. A consultant who knows the county code can get applicants through in one or two submissions. DER maintains a free consultant list.
