Valley Sierra Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
The Valley Sierra Small Business Center (SBDC) is dedicated to fostering the development, growth, and success of small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs throughout Stanislaus and Tuolumne Counties. By supporting these businesses, the SBDC enhances prosperity for individuals, families, communities, and the broader region.
SBDC advisors provide personalized, one-on-one support across a range of areas, including business planning, marketing strategies, e-commerce, government contracting, and funding options. This support includes assistance with loan packaging, connections to lending partners, and guidance on additional financing opportunities. In addition to individual advising, SBDC offers both online and in-person training on topics such as social media, marketing, exporting, and government contracting to help businesses stay informed and prepared for growth.
The SBDC serves businesses with fewer than 500 employees and assists organizations at every stage, whether they are just starting out or seeking to expand an established operation.
Programs available include:
- Business Bootcamp: This four-week cohort supports aspiring entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into viable businesses through hands-on training and expert guidance.
- Loan Readiness Program: Designed for established businesses, this program provides loan packaging assistance, connects business owners with lenders, and offers individualized advising.
The Central California SBDC Network is an accredited member of America’s SBDC. This accreditation is unique among publicly funded technical assistance programs, requiring rigorous accountability examinations and reviews to ensure management strength, financial accountability, and economic impact. Maintaining accreditation is essential for the Central CA SBDC Network to partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration and for America’s SBDC Network to be recognized as a high-quality small business assistance and economic development organization that effectively meets the needs of local businesses.
